The main show poster is there twice: poster. And I have attached Mezzmo metadata settings, where it is set to use folder. But that is not working. For the entire show, Mezzmo uses a preview image from the first episode of the series.
How to make it use poster. Mezzmo uses the NFO file. Join Date Jun Posts If you haven't already, you might try taking a look at this link under the section on XBMC nfo files. It has the naming structure needed for NFO episodes. I know that, and for movies it works fine, problem are TV shows that ave multiple episodes using XBMC format where Mezzmo ignores both folder. And, once again, for episodes for TV show Mezzmo picks correct episode artwork. I checked and have all of my TV shows with each season in a separate subfolder when I rip them or all episodes in a common series folder when doing OTA recordings.
I leverage poster. Mezzmo picks them up for the artwork. I don't use a folder. For some seasons I use a series. If you want to be sure you might try try removing the NFO file and see what happens with the artwork discovery.
So, if you managed to make it work, it can be, but something in Mezzmo needs to be set up correctly for it to work, and in my case, I am still missing something. Spaces aren't allowed in the naming of the jpgs, although they can be in the NFO files. Otherwise the names should match identically not sure about capital versus lowercase though. Certainly no sub folders, for each letter again, unless you fork the code and customize it yourself.
I am also using Jellyfin and Plex and would like to have this somehow work. I am using Jellyfin to gather my actor thumbs but I am forced into their structure of the folder name being the actor name and poster. I am using docker so I have an nginx container with Jellyfin actor folders mounted within.
It seems currently the path field is only used when Local or Global selection is chosen. When the Link option is chosen, this field is ignored. If it wasn't ignored, I would then be able to get this to work. Is there anyone that would be able to help with letting me know what code I would need to adjust in order to get this is function in this way?
I got this working. Hope this helps others with the same setup. My post above mentions my docker configuration and nfo actor thumb paths. Skip to content. Star New issue. Jump to bottom. Copy link.
